CUPPING THERAPY
Also known as vacuum therapy, cupping therapy is used to stimulate the soft tissue in a “non-compressive” manner to decrease pain caused by tight or tense musculature and promote an increase in blood flow.
COMPRESSION BOOTS
These devices use air compression to promote an increase in blood flow, decrease muscle soreness, and improve overall circulation.
DRY NEEDLING
A highly skilled intervention that uses filiform needles to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying muscular and connective tissue for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments. Not to be confused with acupuncture.
STRETCHING
A form of physical exercise where a specific muscle and/or tendon is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle’s perceived elasticity. The result being the sensation of increase flexibility and range of motion.
MANUAL THERAPY
A diverse set of skills that require the clinician to use their hands to try and manipulate the soft-tissue and joints in an attempt to decrease pain and regain function.
